PM Modi: Those rejected by People 80-90 Times Disrupt Parliamentary Proceedings
PM Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition. He said that those repeatedly rejected by the public were attempting to disrupt parliament for political purposes.
At the start of the winter session in the parliament, Modi said, “There should be a healthy debate in the Parliament but, unfortunately, certain individuals are trying to control parliament for their own political gains, resorting to disruptions and chaos.
He added, “Those rejected by the people 80-90 times do not let discussions take place in Parliament.”
He further went on to say, “though their tactics ultimately fail, the people watch their behaviour closely and deliver justice when the time comes."
Modi’s remarks came following Mahayuti’s landslide victory in Maharashtra Assembly elections, where it won 235 seats, while Maha Vikas Aghadi was able to secure only 49 seats.
